چکیده

Healthcare Waste Management (HWM) is considered as one of the important urban decision-making problems due to its potential environmental, economic, and social risks damages. The network HWM system involves decisions such facility locating, inventory management, transportation management. Moreover, with growing concerns towards sustainable development objectives, systems should address environmental aspects well economic technical characteristics. In this regard, paper formulates a novel multi-objective optimization model empower companies in making optimized considering aspects. Within proposed model, first objective function aims minimize costs, processing establishment costs. second emissions related waste between facilities. third maximize job creation opportunities. Formulating these three functions, an Improved Multi-Choice Goal Programing (IMCGP) approach solve which then compared Attainment Method (GAM). Finally, show applicability feasibility illustrative example healthcare management analyzed, results are discussed.

Multi-objective evolutionary algorithms for a preventive healthcare facility network design

Preventive healthcare aims at reducing the likelihood and severity of potentially life-threatening illnesses by protection and early detection. In this paper, a bi-objective mathematical model is proposed to design a network of preventive healthcare facilities so as to minimize total travel and waiting time as well as establishment and staffing cost. Moreover, each facility acts as M/M/1 queuin...

A Multi-objective Hierarchical Location-allocation Model for the Healthcare Network Design Considering a Referral System

This paper presents a multi-objective and multi-service location-allocation model with capacity planning to design a healthcare facilities network through considering a referral system. Therefore, a mixed integer nonlinear programming (MINLP) model containing two objective functions is proposed. The first objective function is  relates to minimization of total opening cost, minimization of tota...

Waste Management Multi-Objective Optimization for Greenhouse Gases Emissions Control

This paper presents the methodology that has been followed and the results that came up from the elaboration of an EC co-financed LIFE+ project in Greece (LIFE09/ENV/GR/294). The objective of the project is to develop a software tool that enables Waste Management Authorities and other stakeholders to substantially reduce GHG emissions resulting from their waste management (WM) activities. The t...

Multi-objective optimization approach for cost management during product design at the conceptual phase

The effective cost management during the conceptual design phase of a product is essential to develop a product with minimum cost and desired quality. The integration of the methodologies of quality function deployment (QFD), value engineering (VE) and target costing (TC) could be applied to the continuous improvement of any product during product development. To optimize customer satisfaction ...

Ant Colony Optimization for Multi-objective Digital Convergent Product Network

Convergent product is an assembly shape concept integrating functions and sub-functions to form a final product. To conceptualize the convergent product problem, a web-based network is considered in which a collection of base functions and sub-functions configure the nodes and each arc in the network is considered to be a link between two nodes. The aim is to find an optimal tree of functionali...
